Obesity and Diabetes in Pregnancy: Risks and Management
Maternal obesity is now considered as high risk factors seen in obstetric practice. The obesity women have more risk as compared to the healthy women in pregnancy. Obesity women during pregnancy Increased risk of miscarriage, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, venous thromboembolism, caesarean section, anesthetic complications and wound infections. Babies of obese mothers may cause effect of stillbirth, congenital anomalies, prematurity, macrosomia and neonatal death
